Terms of Service.

Reliable Property Solutions LLC, doing business as RPS Appliance Repair. These terms govern use of our website, customer portal, scheduling tools, and appliance diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and related services.

Definitions

Customer

The party, or any person acting on behalf of the party, that owns, occupies, manages, or is authorized to request service at the service address.

Service address

The physical location where diagnostic or repair services are requested or provided.

Paying party

The person or organization financially responsible for payment of services rendered.

Services

Diagnostic, repair, maintenance, scheduling, portal, or related appliance services provided by RPS Appliance Repair.

Website, portal, and account use

You may use our website and customer portal only for lawful purposes and with accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining control of the phone numbers and email addresses used to access your account and for notifying us if you believe access has been compromised.

You may not interfere with our systems, attempt unauthorized access, submit false or abusive requests, introduce harmful code, or use automated means to extract content or customer information except as permitted by law.

Appointment requests and confirmation

An online submission is an appointment request, not a guaranteed appointment. Service is scheduled only after RPS confirms the requested date or time window. Availability, routes, technician assignments, and arrival estimates may change because of travel, prior jobs, parts, weather, safety, or other operational conditions.

You agree to provide complete and accurate appliance, contact, access, and service-address information. RPS may decline, reschedule, or cancel a request when the address is outside our service area, the appliance or work is outside our scope, safe access is unavailable, or circumstances prevent service.

Authorization to perform services

The customer authorizes RPS Appliance Repair to perform the diagnostic or repair services requested at the service address. Authorization may be provided verbally, electronically, or in writing, including through digital work orders, invoices, or payment approval.

Acceptance of services, authorization to proceed, or payment constitutes agreement to these terms.

Diagnosis, estimates, and pricing

Diagnostic findings and repair estimates are based on the appliance condition and information reasonably available at the time of service. A diagnosis may change when additional failures, concealed damage, incorrect prior work, or unavailable information is discovered.

RPS will provide the price or pricing basis before customer-paid repair work begins. Unless otherwise stated in writing, an estimate is not a guarantee that additional unrelated failures will not occur. Taxes and separately authorized charges may apply.

Customer responsibilities and safe access

You must provide safe, lawful, and reasonable access to the appliance and service area, disclose known hazards, secure pets, and ensure an authorized adult is present when required. Utilities and appliance connections needed for diagnosis must be available unless RPS agrees otherwise.

RPS may stop or decline work when conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, inaccessible, unlawful, or likely to damage property or equipment. The customer is responsible for preexisting conditions and for moving personal property unless RPS expressly agrees to do so.

Parts, availability, and repair limitations

Parts availability, manufacturer information, and third-party shipping are outside RPS control. Replacement parts may differ in appearance while remaining functionally appropriate. RPS does not guarantee that parts will remain available or that every appliance can be repaired economically or safely.

Payment responsibility

The customer is responsible for customer-authorized charges incurred for services at the service address unless a third-party paying party expressly assumes responsibility in writing. Payment is due as stated on the work order, invoice, membership checkout, or other written payment terms.

Manufacturer, home warranty, landlord, property manager, and other third-party work may be subject to separate authorization, coverage, and payment rules. RPS does not control or guarantee a third party's coverage decision or reimbursement.

Electronic communications and records

You consent to receive service-related calls, texts, and emails at the contact information you provide. These may include verification codes, appointment updates, technician tracking, estimates, invoices, warranty communications, and account notices. Marketing messages require any consent separately described at signup and may be unsubscribed from without affecting service messages.

Electronic records, signatures, checkbox acknowledgments, and approvals may be used to document your requests and agreements. Standard carrier messaging and data rates may apply.

Automated and AI-assisted tools

Our website, customer portal, and internal workflows may use automated or artificial intelligence assisted tools to organize information, summarize or classify messages, detect duplicate or suspicious activity, extract information from submitted materials, support staff, or improve customer workflows.

Automated output can be incomplete or incorrect and is provided as operational assistance, not as a diagnosis, repair instruction, legal opinion, or guarantee. RPS personnel and established business rules control service eligibility, pricing, warranty coverage, billing, membership status, and other material customer decisions. Contact our office if an automated response appears incorrect or requires review.

Dispute resolution and mandatory arbitration

Agreement to arbitrate

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to RPS Appliance Repair services, including billing, workmanship, warranty issues, property damage, or appliance condition, shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court.

The customer and RPS Appliance Repair knowingly and voluntarily waive the right to a trial by judge or jury.

Class action waiver

Disputes must be brought in an individual capacity. The customer agrees not to bring or participate in a class, collective, representative, or private attorney general action against RPS Appliance Repair.

Administration and location

Arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association or JAMS under the applicable consumer arbitration rules in effect when arbitration begins. Arbitration will take place in the state where service was performed unless both parties agree otherwise.

Governing law

The arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and applicable state law based on the location where service was provided.

Opting out of arbitration

The customer may opt out by providing written notice to RPS Appliance Repair within 14 days after service is completed.

The notice must include the customer name, service address, service date, and a clear statement of the intent to opt out.

Opting out does not affect service quality, warranty coverage, pricing, or the customer relationship.

Appliance-related losses and limitation of liability

RPS Appliance Repair does not insure or reimburse losses, expenses, or damages caused by an appliance failure, malfunction, leak, loss of use, delayed service, parts delay, unsuccessful repair, or recurrence of a problem. This exclusion includes food loss or spoilage, medicine loss or spoilage, replacement meals or ice, laundromat, wash-and-fold, or dry-cleaning costs, damage to clothing or other contents, appliance rental, replacement, removal, or installation costs, lodging, transportation, cleanup or remediation, increased utility costs, water damage or damage to floors, cabinets, walls, or other property caused by the appliance condition, lost wages, lost income or profits, business interruption, loss of data, and charges from another service provider.

Customers are responsible for protecting property and taking reasonable steps to reduce further loss when an appliance is not operating properly. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RPS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from the website, portal, appliance condition, or services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or a legal remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.

Events outside our control

RPS is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events reasonably outside our control, including severe weather, utility or communications outages, road conditions, government action, labor or supply interruptions, manufacturer delays, or failures of third-party systems.

Changes, severability, and waiver

We may update these terms prospectively by posting a revised effective date. The terms in effect when a service is authorized continue to govern that service unless the parties agree otherwise. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

Related policies

Warranty coverage for completed repairs is governed by the separate RPS Appliance Repair warranty terms. Use of personal information is described in our privacy policy. VIP membership has additional terms presented during enrollment.
