Measured temperatures
Fresh-food and freezer temperatures are compared with airflow, frost, fan, and compressor operation.

LG refrigerator repair
If an LG refrigerator is running but food is warming, RPS checks temperatures, airflow, defrost operation, controls, and the cooling system before recommending a repair.

What the symptom can mean
An LG refrigerator may sound as though it is running even when it is not moving enough heat out of the cabinet. Temperature history, fan operation, frost patterns, compressor behavior, sensors, and controls all help identify the failed system. Ice and water symptoms are checked separately when they are not caused by the temperature problem.
How we narrow it down
Fresh-food and freezer temperatures are compared with airflow, frost, fan, and compressor operation.
Controls and sealed-system performance are distinguished from defrost, sensor, and airflow failures.
Cabinet temperature is confirmed before water supply, inlet, ice maker, and dispenser components are evaluated.
Find the model number: Find the label on an interior refrigerator wall or around the fresh-food compartment. A clear photo of the full model and serial number is helpful.
Straight answers
Fans and lights can operate while airflow, defrost, sensors, controls, the compressor, or another part of the cooling system is failing. Actual cabinet temperatures and system operation must be checked to identify the cause.
The freezer may be too warm, water may not be reaching the unit, or the inlet, ice maker, sensors, wiring, dispenser, or controls may have a problem. The ice-making sequence should be tested in order.
Share the complete model number, which section is warm, any error code, whether fans or the compressor can be heard, and when the symptom began. Protect perishable food if safe temperatures cannot be maintained.
